this dog was born on christmas eve in 2002.he was born with only 2 legs.

he of course could not walk and even his mother did not want him. his first owner also did not think that he could survive and he was thinking of 'putting him to sleep'. but then, his present owner, jude stringfellow, met him and wanted to take care of him. she became determined to teach and train this little dog to walk by himself. she named him ‘faith’.

這只狗出生于2002年的平安夜，它出生的時(shí)候只有兩條腿。當(dāng)然，它不能走路甚至他的狗媽媽也不想要他。他的第一個(gè)主人認(rèn)為這只狗不能存活下來(lái)，因此想要弄死它。不過(guò)，它現(xiàn)在的主人，jude stringfellow遇見(jiàn)了它并想要照顧它。她下定決心培育和訓(xùn)練這只小狗自己走路。她給它取名為“信仰”。

in the beginning, she put faith on a surfboard to let him feel the movement……later she used peanut  butter on a spoon as a lure and reward for him for standing up and jumping around. even the other dog at home encouraged him to walk. amazingly, after only 6 months, like a miracle, faith learned to balance on his hind legs and to jump to move forward. after further training in the snow, he could now walk like a human being.

剛開(kāi)始她把faith放在滑板上讓它自己感覺(jué)到移動(dòng)……后來(lái)她把花生牛油醬放在調(diào)羹上作為它站立和跳躍的誘惑和獎(jiǎng)賞。甚至家里的另外一條狗也鼓勵(lì)它行走。令人驚訝的是，短短6個(gè)月之后，如奇跡般的，faith學(xué)會(huì)了用兩條后腿平衡并跳躍前進(jìn)。通過(guò)在雪地中的進(jìn)一步培訓(xùn)之后，它可以像人類一樣用兩腿走路了。

faith loves to walk around now. no matter where he goes, he attracts people to him. he is fast becoming famous on the international scene and has appeared on various newspapers and tv shows. there is now a book entitled ‘with a little faith’ being published about him. he was even considered to appear in one of harry potter movies.

faith現(xiàn)在很喜歡四處溜達(dá)。不管去哪里，它總能成為眾人的焦點(diǎn)。在國(guó)際舞臺(tái)上它迅速成名并在不同的報(bào)紙和電視節(jié)目中出現(xiàn)。甚至有本書(shū)專為它出版，以“with a little faith”的專題介紹它。它甚至有可能出現(xiàn)在哈利波特其中一部電影中。
