用心去“發(fā)現(xiàn)”區(qū)別。

1．discover； look for；find；find out；invent

　　discover指發(fā)現(xiàn)或偶然發(fā)現(xiàn)原來就存在但一直未被認(rèn)識(shí)的事物。例如：

　　who discovered america in 1492？是誰在1492年發(fā)現(xiàn)美洲大陸的？

　　it was discovered in liaoning province．它是在遼寧省被發(fā)現(xiàn)的。

　　look for作“尋找”解時(shí)，指尋找的動(dòng)作和過程。例如：

　　are you still looking for that place？你還在找那個(gè)地方嗎？

　　find指尋找的結(jié)果，即“找到”，通常指偶然發(fā)現(xiàn)。例如：

　　i'm looking for my pen，but i can't find it．我在找我的鋼筆，但是沒找到。

　　my bike was found last week．我的自行車是上星期找到的。

　　find out指經(jīng)過觀察、調(diào)查把某事、某物查出來，搞清楚，弄明白。例如：

　　please find out when the train leaves．請(qǐng)查一下火車什么時(shí)候開。

　　when he was a child，he liked to find out how things worked．當(dāng)他還是個(gè)孩子時(shí)，就愛弄明白各種事物的來龍去脈。

　　invent指發(fā)明原來不存在的東西。例如：

　　who invented the computer？誰發(fā)明了電腦？

　　in the seventeenth century an adding machine was invented．十七世紀(jì)時(shí)，加法機(jī)被發(fā)明了。

　　2．found；founded

　　found既是不規(guī)則動(dòng)詞find的過去式和過去分詞，本身又是一個(gè)原形動(dòng)詞，意為“建立”、“成立”。例如：

　　my father found work in paris．我父親在巴黎找到了工作。

　　he was trying to found a new hospital．他在努力創(chuàng)建一家新醫(yī)院。

　　founded為規(guī)則動(dòng)詞found的過去式和過去分詞。例如：

　　the prc was founded on october 1，1949．中華人民共和國成立于1949年10月1日。
