那就是麥迪遜大道。
street指位于城鎮(zhèn)或都市內，兩旁有人行道和房子的公共通道。例如:
don’t play in the street.別在馬路上玩耍。
road意為“路；道路”，指供車輛或人通過的廣闊平坦的大道，常指“公路；馬路”等，兩側一般沒有建筑物。例如：
the car is running along the road．
汽車沿著這條路行駛。
way意為“路線；道路”，指street，road或任何可以通行的路，含義較抽象�？谡Z中問路時常用way。way還可指路程距離。例如：
how can i get there? i don’t know the way． 我怎樣能到達那里？我不認識路。
i asked the way to the station．
我打聽去車站的路。
path通常指“小路；小徑”，只供人行走的路，可以是人們踩踏而成的路，如山中、林間的羊腸小道；也可以指公園、田間的小路，還可以指物體運動經(jīng)過

的軌跡等。例如：
they walked along the path across the field． 他們沿著穿越田野的路走去。

自如的“伸展”
stretch; extend; expand; spread
stretch表示“伸（手）;撐”，由曲而直或由短而長地伸展。例如:
i stretched out my hand towards the book. 我把手伸向這本書。
extend原意為直線地“伸展”，引申為“擴展（勢力，范圍）”等。例如:
 

the railway will be extended next year.
明年將要延長這條鐵路。
expand表示“擴大；擴張”，指面積或體積的擴張。例如:
metals expand when heated.
金屬遇熱膨脹。
spread表示“鋪開；展開；伸展；延伸”等。例如:
she spread the clothes to dry.
