英語中的量詞不是一種詞類,而是許多與數(shù)量有關(guān)的詞和短語。恰當(dāng)使用這些短語會使表達(dá)更加形象,F(xiàn)在把表達(dá)“一陣”的短語進(jìn)行歸納并解釋,希望對你的學(xué)習(xí)有所幫助。
1. a cloud of = a mess of dust, smoke etc in the air, or a large number of insects flying together
e.g: a cloud of dust got into his eyes. 一股塵土吹進(jìn)了他的雙眼。
2. a blaze of = a sudden show of very strong emotion
e.g: when mr. smith saw his garden trampled, a blaze of anger broke forth. 當(dāng)史密斯先生看到他的花園被人踩了時,一股怒火迸發(fā)而出。
3. a thunder of = a loud noise that you hear during a storm, usually after a flash of lightning (often in figure)
e.g:his speech on peace won a thunder of applause.

4. a flood of = a very large number of things or people that arrive at the same time
e.g: what a flood of rain! 好一陣大雨!
5. a ripple of = a sound that gets gradually louder and softer
e.g: a ripple of laughter ran through the audience. 聽眾中發(fā)出了一陣輕快的笑聲。
6. a flush of = a sudden feeling of anger, excitement etc.
e.g:he felt a flush of joy at the good news.聽到這個好消息,他感到一陣喜悅。
7. a surge of = a sudden, large increase in a feeling
e.g: a surge of anger rushed over him. 一陣怒氣涌上了他的心頭。
8. a turn of = a momentary feeling of illness or nervous shock
e.g: a turn of rage 一陣盛怒 a turn of dizziness 一陣暈眩
9. a flurry of = a small amount of snow or rain that is blown by the wind
e.g: he opens the door and a flurry of snow blows in. 他一開門,一縷雪就吹了進(jìn)來。
10. a hail of = a large number of bullets, stones etc that are thrown or fired at someone
e.g: suddenly a hail of bullets whistled by. 突然一陣彈雨從身邊呼嘯而過。
11. a spell of = a period of a particular kind of activity, weather, illness etc, usually a short period
e.g: a spell of coughing came from the house full of dense smoke. 充滿濃煙的屋子里傳來一陣咳嗽聲。
12. a flight of = a number of thoughts, ideas etc that are full of imagination
e.g: the memories of the good old days put her to a flight of fancy.

13. a spurt of = an amount of liquid or flame that suddenly comes quickly out of something
e.g: we saw a sudden spurt of flame from the stove. 我們看到從火爐中噴出一股火舌。
14. a peal of = a sudden loud sound of laughter
e.g: we could hear a peal of laughter coming from the hall. 我們能聽到從大廳里傳來的一陣笑聲。
15. a whirl of = a spinning movement of something
e.g: a car rumbled over the bumpy dirt road, leaving behind a whirl of dust. 一輛汽車轟鳴著緩行在崎嶇不平的土路上,后面揚(yáng)起一陣塵土。
